If you are curious about what is behind those doors, there is an event coming up for you.
Doors Open Saskatoon gives you an opportunity to tour buildings not typically open to the public, or to see behind the scenes.
Event coordinator, Kim Ali (alley), gives the example of TCU Place, where there will be tours of up to 20 people every 15 minutes.
The Bessborough is hosting tours and some of the buildings on the list will have self-guided tours.
Some of the other downtown buildings include the Ukrainian Museum of Canada, the Drinkle Building and HMCS Unicorn which is celebrating its 100th anniversary as the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve This year.
A couple of new entries this year are Black Fox Farm and Distillery and the historic Rugby Chapel on the USask campus, which has been recently renovated.
Doors Open Saskatoon is Sunday afternoon.
Ali says their last event was in 2019.
Usually, it’s every two years, but there were pandemic restrictions in 2021.
There are 24 different buildings in Saskatoon and area are opening their doors for a peek inside.
