Tickets are now available for the Fall 2023 Hospital Home Lottery, launched by Saskatoon’s City, Royal University, and St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation.
Chief Executive Officer of Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation, Steve Shannon, says the lottery has been running for over 30 years, and it is a way for all three hospitals to raise money to support their selected campaigns and initiatives. He says this year, City Hospital will be focusing on funding ambulatory care services and diagnostic treatment. Royal University will put the money towards advanced education, new equipment, and research initiatives. St. Paul’s is looking to purchase a BK Ultrasound to work alongside their Da Vinci surgical robot.
Shannon says prizes include a $1.5 million show home and $50,000 cash, a Candle Lake Cottage with $15,000 cash and two Candle Lake gold resort memberships, or a trip to New Zealand for 28 days. Tickets are $100 each, and packs of multiples are also available. He says buyers are encouraged to buy a 50/50 add on to their ticket, and the best place to buy them is hospital home lottery.org.
