Some insight into the design……
- The bison is an animal strongly rooted in Saskatchewan lore. First Nations culture has long revered the stately creature as sacred with important gifts and teachings
- The bison head is in the shape of a lacrosse stick head, reflecting the game
- The team wordmark is inspired by the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool which played an important role in the province’s development
- The hexagon shape is a nod to the team’s home within Treaty Six territory
- The beard of the bison represents movement and energy. The bison is a creature that “charges” or “rushes” as it moves across the plains. There is also a subtle lightening bolt shapes, which is a reference to Saskatchewan’s iconic thunderstorms
