The Saskatoon Blades showed Friday that they are serious about hanging banners this season!
The Bridge City Bunch completed a block-buster deal with the Kamloops Blazers, acquiring 19-year-old centre Fraser Minten (pictured). The Blue and Gold sent 18-year-old centre Jordan Keller, first round W-H-L Prospects Draft picks in 2024 and 2025 plus a fourth round selection in 2024. Minten is a 2nd round N-H-L draft choice of the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2022 and and started this season with the Leafs, playing in four games. Since being returned to Kamloops, the Vancouver product has three goals amongst 10 points in seven games. He will join the Blades Saturday and wear Number 16 when Saskatoon visits the Portland Winterhawks. Minten had 31 goals amongst 67 points last season with the Blazers and has 58 goals amongst 150 points in 151 career W-H-L games.
