The Highway Hotline is reporting that the closure between Mortlach and Swift Current on Highway 1 has been removed.
Previously, at 11:08 a.m. RCMP reported that multiple semis were still blocking Highway #1 and road conditions were still impacted by the weather. At least five semis were involved in collisions and RCMP say another semi jackknifed shortly before 11 a.m. this morning when the kilometers-long lineup started moving slowly again. Extreme caution was being advised especially when police officers and other responders are outside their vehicles working to open the road.
