Carrot River RCMP responded to a report of an injured man on Highway 163 on Red Earth Cree Nation early Monday morning around 4:30. EMS declared him dead at the scene.

The 31-year-old is from Red Earth Cree Nation, but his name is not being released. Preliminary investigation suggests he may have been struck by a vehicle, which didn’t remain at the scene. The RCMP investigation continues in collaboration with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
