A 42-year-old Saskatoon man is still in hospital with serious injuries following an assault that took place on Wednesday, April 24th. Around 11:00pm, police received a report of a man who was assaulted near a gas station in the 300 block of Confederation Drive.
Police say through investigation, they identified a group of five people that stole a fire extinguisher from a business in the area and were spraying people with it as they walked by on the street. One victim tried to intervene, at which point the assault took place. The group was last seen heading northbound on Confederation Drive near Laurier Drive, and police have yet to locate them.
