The Saskatoon Airport will host an emergency response exercise Thursday morning. Airport representatives, signage and announcements will be present throughout the drill to ensure that regular passengers are aware of the exercise.
The full-scale live emergency exercise is being conducted in partnership with Saskatoon Police Service, Saskatoon Fire Services, Saskatoon EMO, Medavie Health Services West, Nav Canada, and Air Canada. It will take place in a controlled area of runway 15/33. The emergency exercise will take place in a fully contained area on one of two runways at the airport, ensuring there is no impact to regular airport operations.
