The Premier-elect has posted on social media some pictures of the Sask Party’s new caucus which includes 16 new MLAs. The pictures are from their first meeting which was held today (Thurs). It’s Scott Moe’s first public comment since his speech Monday night after winning a majority government. He says in the post many people voted for a strong economy and bright future with the Saskatchewan Party and many others voted for change. He believes his government will deliver for both sectors.
The final count of election ballots is on Saturday, November 9th. Elections Saskatchewan will be reviewing all ballots from the first and second preliminary counts, the vote-by-mail ballots received after October 26th, and ballots from hospital, remand and temporarily displaced voters.
There are two ridings where the results could possibly change, but the Sask Party will still have a majority government. Both ridings are in Saskatoon.
In Saskatoon Westview, the lead went from the Sask Party’s David Buckingham to the NDP’s candidate, April ChiefCalf after the second count, and in Saskatoon Willowgrove, Sask Party MLA Ken Cheveldayoff remains in the lead with the NDP’s Alana Wakula not far behind.
