Kelly Gatzke joined the Cool Afternoon Show to talk about a cause close to his heart, Fetching a Cure for Canine Cancer.  The money raised will to go the “Inspiration Oncology Fund” for canine cancer research. This fund was started by Kelly & Fiona back in 2014 when they lost their Golden Retriever to cancer. His name was “Inspiration”. They lost their other Golden Retriever, ”Opportunity”, in 2016. Their youngest boy “Kilkenny”, just 2 months ago, again to cancer.

The fundraiser “Fetching a Cure” will see the funds stay in Saskatoon, where research is already taking place.  They goal is to raise $5000. Donations of $25 or more can receive a tax receipt from the WCVM at University of Saskatchewan.
